Witham: Baptist church gets Maltings Lane site
12:34pm Saturday 13th March 2010
A BAPTIST church has been chosen to occupy a new place of worship.
It is second time lucky for Witham Baptist Church, which lost the site at Maltings Lane, Witham, to selected bidder Bethel Christian Fellowship in 2007.
However, the Fellowship pulled out last August because of lack of parking.
The Baptists were the only group to express an interest when the land was re-advertised and have been formally selected by Braintree Council's Witham local committee, subject to detailed terms being agreed.
