Braintree: Man given six stamps after £100 mail goes missing
4:00pm Friday 27th January 2012

A disgruntled Braintree man was given six stamps as a goodwill gesture after £100 of mail went astray.
Furious Tim Cheung of Blackwater Way, Braintree, was also given a refund on the cost of his postage after claiming his cousin only received an opened envelope, which was missing a solicitor’s document he had sent.
Grandfather Mr Cheung has now reported this incident and a previous incident of missing mail to the police, citing theft of letters.
Mr Cheung was told the cost of the solicitor’s document, which was £100, could only be refunded if he could provide proof of its value.
