Braintree: Comedian Rhod Gilbert to make surprise appearance
4:30pm Friday 27th January 2012

Welsh stand-up comic Rhod Gilbert will be making a surprise appearance at Braintree Arts Theatre on Tuesday evening.
He will be testing out material for his forthcoming tour Work In Progress.
Rhod, 43, is a familiar face on television and has hosted panel shows Have I Got News For You and Never Mind The Buzzcocks.
Well known for his hilarious angry ranting, his previous two tours, The Award Winning Mince-Pie and The Cat That Looked Like Nicholas Lyndhurst, have been critically acclaimed.
Tuesday’s appearance comes ahead of a hectic nationwide tour of his equally impressively named new show, The Man With The Flaming Battenberg Tattoo.
A hectic programme will culminate with three nights at London’s Hammersmith Apollo and ten nights at the Edinburgh Festival in August.
Rhod Gilbert will be appearing at Braintree Arts Theatre tomorrow at 8pm, with tickets costing £15.
