Braintree district: Greenfields gives £18m worth of business to local firms

Essex businesses benefited from nearly £18m of contracts with the housing association that runs Braintree Council’s former housing stock.
Greenfields Community Housing worked with 80 companies in the county last year.
Procurement manager, Mandy Rose, said: “When our procurement regulations allow we always seek to invite local contractors to do business with, and Essex has a strong and diverse supply base that can be called upon.
”Sourcing local companies to fulfil contracts will remain a key focus for us throughout 2012.”
