Essex: Stansted remains open in the snow

The runway at Stansted remained open after heavy snow fall affected airports across Europe.
There was warning of some delays on Sunday with two Ryanair departures being cancelled in this morning but many of the flights were able to take off.
On Saturday night a few of the arrivals were diverted to other airports during a one hour snow clearance at 10pm.
A spokesman said: "The runway has been open from the first departure [on Sunday] all the delays were down to airlines needing to de-ice the planes.
"There is no snow forecast so the runway will remain open as normal and we don't envisage any problems."
