Towerlands to stage BDO event

Towerlands will host the British Darts Organisation Winmau British Classic this summer.
The 2010 BDO Winmau British Classic Men’s and Women’s Singles will take place in Braintree on Saturday, July 24, following 12 years at the Kettering Conference Centre, in Northamptonshire.
The Great Britain Finals of the Elkadart Darts World British Teenage Championships will also be played at the venue.
It will take place at Towerlands the following day, along with the BDO British Inter-County Youth KO Cup.
BDO chief Olly Croft said: “Towerlands Park is a fantastic venue which offers us lots of space all on one level and a variety of facilities to accommodate the rising numbers of players and fans for this great weekend of BDO darts.”
