Penalty heartache for Witham Town
12:15pm Thursday 2nd September 2010
Witham Town went out of the FA Cup on penalties at Ryman League division one north side Ilford last night.
Danny Greaves' side were beaten 3-2 on spot-kicks, after their preliminary round replay had finished 0-0 after normal and extra-time.
The teams could not be seperated in the original tie and the replay proved equally tight, meaning a penalty shoot-out which Town lost.
